A less equipped guy who is struggling to capture meaningful shots

 

 This shooting was successful because the natural lighting was great and complimented the footage.  I climbed up a tree to get the establishing shot.  Then I took a variety of shots such as OTS, closeups, wide angle shot, POV shot, and we tried to follow the rules of composition during this.

 We went to shoot on both the locations on two separate days.  The first shooting was in The underground parking lot of The Centaurus Mall. The lighting there caused a huge problem for us as they were flickering and the footage was not too cinematic or aesthetically pleasing. We had brought ring lights too but the tube lights were a huge problem for us. One problem that arose was that the camera's battery ran out so we had to shoot on my Redmi Note 8 and the quality was not too good. 

  Me and Aiman made a rough draft of the permission letter and added all the information to it. We got it formalized by the school administration. Aiman and I went to the Centaurus Mall and I gave it to the marketing director, Mr Kashif Butt. My discussion with Mr Kashif Butt was very successful and he showed great interest in our project. 

  I recorded both actors and did screentests with them. We guided them regarding acting. The rehearsals were successful and the team was satisfied.

  We asked a number of people to audition for us and we had three main candidates for the role of Ali. These were Khawaja Hamza, Moiz Khan and Mirwais Momand.  We auditioned all of them and came to the conclusion that Moiz Khan was the most suitable for the role of Ali.  We therefore, as a team decided to cast him. Hamza and Mirwais's acting was not as good as I wanted.  Here are the behind the scenes of the auditions and casting. Me explaining to Hamza.  Screen Tests with Moiz.

  Today was supposed to be our team's meeting. We could not meet in person as mids were approaching so we discussed the script virtually on texts.
